Switching from another platform shouldn't mean leaving years of relationships behind or retyping thousands of records by hand. Occam imports your donors, volunteers, and members — plus the history that actually matters: past gifts, outstanding pledges, and your funds — straight from a CSV export, so your first day on Occam already reflects the years of work that got you here.

It works with whatever you're coming from. A column-mapping step lines your file's columns up to Occam's fields and guesses the match for you, so an export from Neon CRM, MobileCause, VolunteerHub, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or a plain spreadsheet all just work — no custom integration, no data-migration consultant. A preview shows exactly what will import before a single record is created, and any rows that need a second look come back with a clear reason why.

Imported gifts land on the right donor record, in their original calendar year, attributed to a fund — so your lifetime-giving totals, LYBUNT/SYBUNT lists, and year-end receipts are correct from the very start. Import the same people again later and existing records are matched and skipped, never duplicated.
