Our commitment
Giving should be open to everyone. Occam, operated by Nonsilebo LLC, wants every donor, supporter, volunteer, and staff member to be able to use the pages and tools we provide, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification, or other assistive technology.
The standard we work toward
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We build with that standard in mind — semantic markup, keyboard-reachable controls, visible focus, text alternatives, and readable contrast — and we treat departures from it as defects to fix.
We have not yet completed an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance. This page will be updated when one has been done.
What this covers
This statement applies to the parts of Occam that we design and build: donation, event, auction, store, membership, pledge and volunteer pages, the donor portal, and the staff dashboard.
Organizations that use Occam add their own content — text, images, video, and website pages built with our site builder. Each organization is responsible for the accessibility of what it adds, such as providing image descriptions and captions. We give them the tools to do that.
Known limitations
Some areas are likely to fall short of our target today, particularly denser staff-facing screens such as the website editor, charts, and large data tables. Payment fields are provided by Stripe and follow Stripe's own accessibility practices.
Tell us when something gets in the way
If you have trouble using any part of Occam, or need information in a different format, email info@occam.gives. Tell us the page you were on and what you were trying to do. We aim to reply within five business days, and we will help you complete what you came to do — including making a gift — by another route while we fix the problem.
